Who I Am
My name is Jordan Beicke.
I’m seventeen years old and a senior in high school. Medicine has always been my passion, but I had limited access to resources in middle and early high school, which prevented me from exploring a possible medical career more extensively. I created a medical handbook, originally with high school students in mind, consisting of 20 interviews of 20 different doctors as a way for me to learn more about what a career in medicine involves on a day-to-day basis. After introducing my handbook to our new medical guide club in high school and presenting it at my district’s two middle schools, I was so excited to receive such positive feedback from those younger students and their teachers that I knew I wanted to share it with others. The main focus of my website is this handbook, of which a new featured interview of a doctor from this handbook can be found on the Home page. Be on the lookout for a new featured interview every few weeks. Constructing this project has allowed me to gain greater knowledge on the subject of medicine and my mission is to spread this knowledge to other students with a budding interest in this field. Enjoy looking around!
